What about science and evolution?

Science does not disprove God; it points to Him. Evolution, as a godless explanation of origins, is not only scientifically unprovable but philosophically incoherent, theologically bankrupt, and historically recent. The biblical creation account is not in conflict with true science, but with atheistic interpretations of data.

BIBLICAL BACKING

1. God Created Everything—Intentionally and Directly.

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1, ESV

This is the most foundational claim: The universe is not random or self-originated—it was created on purpose by a Designer outside of time and matter.

“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.” — Psalm 33:6

“For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them.” — Exodus 20:11

Genesis doesn’t describe a slow, mindless, evolutionary process. It declares God spoke, and creation obeyed. The order is deliberate: light, sky, land, life—culminating in man, made in God’s image.

2. Man is Not an Evolved Animal—He’s Uniquely Made.

“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...’” — Genesis 1:26

“Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life...” — Genesis 2:7

This is non-negotiable. Humans are not advanced animals; they bear divine image and moral responsibility. Evolution strips man of inherent dignity, accountability, and purpose. God gives it all in a single breath.

3. The Fall Corrupted a Good Creation.

“Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin…” — Romans 5:12

The evolutionary timeline requires millions of years of death, disease, and decay before humans arrive. But Scripture says death came after Adam sinned—not before. This isn’t just theological—this is the Gospel.

PHILOSOPHICAL REASONING

1. Can Nothing Create Everything?

Evolutionists claim the universe “popped” into being from nothing, then slowly organized itself over billions of years.

But nothing produces nothing. The law of causality (every effect has a cause) crushes atheistic evolution.

A mindless, purposeless process can’t produce meaning, logic, or morality.

If humans are merely evolved apes, why trust your brain? It evolved to survive, not to know truth. Evolution makes truth-seeking impossible.

2. Science Can’t Explain Origins—It Studies What Already Exists.

Science is the study of repeatable, observable phenomena. But origins are not repeatable. No one watched the Big Bang or evolution of species. These are beliefs about the past, not scientific facts.

Evolution is a philosophy dressed up as science. The fossil record doesn’t show gradual transitions—it shows fully formed kinds appearing suddenly (Cambrian Explosion).

3. Information Requires Intelligence.

DNA is a language. It contains millions of lines of code.
Who wrote it?

Random mutation doesn’t generate new information. It corrupts it. That’s why mutations cause diseases—not wings, eyes, or consciousness.

Every programmer knows: code doesn’t write itself. Even Richard Dawkins admits DNA looks like it was “designed.” Why? Because it was.

HISTORICAL & THEOLOGICAL CONTEXT

1. Modern Evolution is a 19th-Century Myth—Not an Ancient Truth.

Charles Darwin’s Origin of Species (1859) didn’t emerge in a vacuum. It rode on the Enlightenment’s rejection of divine authority and Scripture. Evolution wasn’t about science—it was about removing God.

Even Darwin admitted: “To suppose that the eye... could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree.” — Darwin, Origin of Species

The idea that everything came from nothing by chance is not ancient wisdom—it’s a modern rebellion.

2. The Church Has Always Held to a Creator—Not Evolution.

The early church fathers, medieval theologians, and Reformers all affirmed a literal Creator. Even when allegorizing parts of Scripture, they never imagined man was the product of random mutations.

The evolutionary worldview is not neutral—it’s a rival religion with its own origin myth, morals, and meaning. And it’s collapsing under its own contradictions.

REAL-WORLD ANALOGY

Imagine a Tornado Hitting a Junkyard... and Assembling a Boeing 747.

That’s the logic of evolution.

Take raw matter. Stir for billions of years. Add chance. Out comes Mozart, DNA, and the Mona Lisa.

You wouldn’t believe that if your life depended on it.

You don’t see a book and assume an ink explosion.
You don’t see a smartphone and assume time plus wind.
Why would you see a human and assume molecules plus chance?

Design demands a Designer. Order demands Intelligence.

CLARITY

  • Science doesn’t contradict the Bible—it confirms it when interpreted honestly.

  • Evolution isn’t scientific fact—it’s philosophical speculation built on rebellion against God.

  • The Bible is clear: God created the universe by His word, man in His image, and the world good—until we broke it.

  • Evolution requires faith. It has no empirical proof of macroevolution, spontaneous life from non-life, or universe from nothing.

  • Believing in God as Creator is not anti-science. It’s the only worldview that gives science a foundation: order, laws of nature, human reason, and objective truth.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” — Proverbs 1:7

You either start with God as the unchanging foundation of truth and reason—or you drown in meaningless chaos.

The question is not: Can science disprove God?
The real question is: Can science even exist without Him?

It can’t.

So when someone says, “What about science and evolution?”

You can say: “Real science points to the Creator. Evolution is the modern golden calf—fashioned by human pride, not truth.”

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools...” — Romans 1:22
